The sensitization exercise which started yesterday across the state witnessed fumigation of Motor Parks, education of commuters and drivers alike on preventive measures to prevent the spread pf the virus in the state.

Our currespondent who monitored the sensitization exercise in some parks within the state including Agboyi Ketu branch A reports that passengers’ temperature were being tested before they were allowed to board vehicles while they ensure they also comply with stipulated spacing in the bus.

Comrade Yusuf said, “after our last state council meeting, we have the instruction to go to our various branches and carry out this exercise, after fumigating all our parks, we were also instructed to sensitise the people about the deadly virus and ways to prevent them from being infected.

As we are doing it here it is also gping on simultaneously in all our parks across the state,  we cannot leave the work over to the government alone, we all have to join hands with the government to prevent further spread”, he said.

Asking if the government was responsible for the kits being distributed to the motorists like and glove, face masks, hand sanitizer and so on, he said all those were made possible through the contributions of members to support the campaign.

All these kits are readily available at our union’s office for all of us to use, we can’t affort to sit back and watch, you can see the cases increasing everyday, this thing is real and we have to approach it with all seriousness”, comrade Yusuf maintained.

He enjoined all Lagos residents to adhere strictly to instructions given by medical practitioners, ensure regular washing of hands, keeping the environment clean, using,  sanitizer and maintaining social distancing as directed.
