Air Peace Reinforces Industry Leadership With Transit Flights Via Lagos Airport

Nigeria’s leading airline, Air Peace, has commenced transit flights through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos to various regional and international cities, a news release issued by the airline on Friday, November 11, has revealed.

The release stated: “Finally, Air Peace and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, have created the first Transit Hub in Nigeria at Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos”.

According to the airline, the transit international flights are: Accra-Mumbai-Accra, Accra-Jeddah-Accra, Accra-Johannesburg-Accra, Dakar-Jeddah and Dakar-Mumbai. The transit regional flights are: Accra-Freetown-Accra, Accra-Douala-Accra, Monrovia-Lome-Monrovia, Accra-Dakar-Accra, Lome-Accra-Lome and Accra-Banjul-Accra.

“Now, passengers from other countries can fly Air Peace to international and regional destinations through converging in Lagos from where they are flown to those destinations seamlessly without leaving the airport”, the release said.

The airline emphasised that it will continue to innovate in its flight service delivery, ensuring that its customers get the best experience across all touchpoints while adding that strategic connectivity across key domestic, regional and international cities remains a major part of its ambition.

It can be recalled that Air Peace recently announced that it has secured permit to operate into the United Kingdom. The airline had hinted that plans are in top gear to officially launch the destination very soon after it kicked off direct flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in October, 2023.

Air Peace Expands Regional Network, Commences Abidjan, Cotonou Flights Jan 22

Nigeria’s leading airline, Air Peace, is set to launch flight connectivity from its Lagos hub to Cotonou in Benin Republic and Abidjan in Ivory Coast on January 22, 2024, bringing to 10 its regional destinations in less than a decade of commencing scheduled flight operations.

This information is contained in a news release issued on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, by the airline’s Spokesperson, Stanley Olisa, who said the new routes were further confirmation of the airline’s unyielding drive to connect the whole of Africa and facilitate economic prosperity on the continent.

According to Olisa, in addition to these new routes opening soon, Air Peace is also introducing new connections such as Abidjan-Dakar, Cotonou-Dakar and Abidjan-Cotonou.

He stated that the route schedules are now live on the airline’s website- www.flyairpeace.com- and its mobile app, and customers can start booking to take advantage of the unbeatable launch fares.

Air Peace leads Nigeria’s aviation industry with a current network of 21 domestic routes, 8 regional and 6 international destinations, with an increasing modern fleet of over 30 aircraft, including 5 brand new Embraer 195-E2s and a latest firm order for 5 brand new Embraer 175s.
