NPC Chairman, Dr. Aminu Yussuf Preside Over Commissions 217th Editions Meeting

The Chairman of National Population Commission, Dr. Aminu Yusuf, today, 6th February 2026, presided over the 217th Commission Meeting held at Lakowe Lake Resort, Lagos State, August24news.com has learnt.

This meeting marks Dr. Yusuf’s second Commission meeting since his assumption of office on December 3, 2025.

The Commission serves as the highest decision-making body of the NPC, responsible for formulating policies and providing strategic direction for the Commission’s operations.

During the session, key policy decisions were deliberated upon and adopted to further strengthen the Commission’s mandate in demographic and geospatial data generation, population management, and national development planning.
