Members of Peoples Democratic Party -PDP in Lagos state will like to raise concern over the over bearing act of Mr Seyi Tinubu, the son of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the presidential candidate of APC .
Seyi Tinubu has continually meddled in the publicity of our party in Lagos state and have continue to flagrantly flout the Electoral Act by preventing our party from campaigning and display of our campaign materials.
Today at the Business Roundtable organised by our party presidential candidate at Eko hotel in Victoria Island, our party displayed umbrellas representing our party logo on the lawn of the hotel after we have duly sort the permission of the management of the hotel.
It was disheartening and embarrassing that Seyi Tinubu instructed that the umbrellas be removed and they were removed.
Not long ago, it was reported to us by our team pasting posters around Lagos Island that Seyi Tinubu instructed some hooligans to molest our team, torn their posters and destroyed every campaign materials in their possession.
in the same light, he instructed that our billboards and banners be removed from the streets in the state.
His continuing meddling in the publicity of our party in Lagos state is a call to anarchy and total disrespect to the law of the land which permitted every political party a right to campaign especially during this electioneering period.
We are using this medium to call on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and the security agents to call Mr Seyi Tinubu to order to prevent an untowards situations.
We would also like to urge respectable individual in the state to lend their voice to a sustainable democracy where all contestants are allowed free and fair campaign.
As a political party in Lagos state, we understand why the APC is jittering and have advised the party to begin writing their handling over note because the people have rejected them and would vote them out of government in 2023.
we hereby urge the party leadership to concentrate on salvaging the little respect they are enjoying and not squandered it through their continue intimidation and harassment of the people of Lagos.
