The Lawmaker representing Alimosho Constituency II in the ninth (9th) Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Kehinde Olaide Joseph, has called on his constituents to avail themselves of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Joseph, while having a press briefing with his Media Office in Lagos, urged his constituents to “come out massively in the fourth quarter of the exercise, pointing out that it is their right to be registered.

“In democratic society, one of the fundamental sociopolitical responsibility of citizens is the right of eligible adults to effectively participate in governance chosing leaders by voting.

“However, this is possible, only if, eligible citizens have valid voters card which will empower them with the right to vote and voted for, in any election”, he said.

“It’s important to remind all eligible citizens that the Permanent Voters Card is our voice which will empower you to make positive decision during election for a better Alimosho, Lagos and Nigeria of our dreams”, he reiterated.

We also gathered that the Commission will resume the Fourth Quarter of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) on 11th April, 2022. The Commission has been giving weekly updates of both the online pre-registration and the physical completion of registration by voters.

Those eligible for the exercise include unregistered citizens who are 18 years and above, Permanent voter card (PVC) holders with accreditation issues in the last voting exercise and registered voters whose PVC is damaged.

Others include registered voters who want to correct the spelling of their names and register voters who want to transfer their PVCs to another location.
