Three Badagry Council Chairmen Storms Lagos Assembly to Felicitate With Setonji

The Trio Of the Council Chairmen from Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos state who are Hon. Taliat Olusegun Onilude, Hon. Gbenu Joseph and Hon. Samson Olatunde respectively Last week Tuesday stormed the Lagos state house of assembly with joy and enthusiasm to felicitate and rejoice with their son Hon. Engr David Setonji who is representing their constituency at the chamber during the house proclamation and inauguration ceremony that kicks off at the 10th assembly.

Hon. Taliat Onilude is the Executive Chairman of Badadgy central, Hon. Gbenu joseph is the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA while Hon. Samson Olatunde is the Executive chairman of Badagry west LCDA under the rulling All Progressive Congress in Lagos State.

 
Hon. Setonji who was elected into the house in 2015 is now representing the good people of badagry constituency ll for the third consecutive term at the ongoing 10th assembly.

August24news.com gathered that the proclamation and inauguration ceremony was declared opened by the Governor of the state Mr. Babajide Sanwolu.

Our reporter who attended the ceremony spotted the three respected council chairman from badagry division in which no other council chairman from other division attended the inaguration as been done by the trio. 

Speaking with the trio, Hon. Taliat Olusegun Onilude affirmed that Hon. Sentoji has always been a good listen lawmaker who always worried about the yearnings of his constituents adding that he his not the type that abandoned his constituency after been voted in.

Also speaking with our correspondent, the Executive chairman of Olorunda LCDA Hon. Gbenu Joseph describe Hon  Sentonji as a gift to the good people of badagry adding that he his proud of his legislative representative.

In a chat with the Executive Chairman of Badagry west LCDA, Hon. Samson Olatunde highlighted some of the great achievement of Hon. Setonji in the house ranging from bills sponsored, motions, oversight functions, constituency meetings and empowerment which has reduce unemployment and crime drastically from the badagry division adding that the trio council chairman will again give him support any time any day he needs.

Reacting to the kind word bestowed on him, Hon. Setonji said he never knew his people where monitoring all his activities until he witness the massive votes recorded at the just concluded poll where he was returned to the house for the third term.

The gentle, easy going, soft-spoken and god fearing lawmaker now vow to continue to listen to his people claiming his third term will be far better than his previous tenure in office as he promise to make bills that will affect the life of the youths and old age from badagry division. 

investigation had it that no lawmaker has ever represented Badagry constituency ll at the Lagos state house of assembly for three consecutive term. 

Similarly, Hon. Setonji who was the chairman house committee on Information, strategy and security during the 9th assembly is now elected as a principal officer of the house with his new current position as the deputy chief whip of the house.

it would be correct to say Hon. Setonji has successful sponsored three bills and moved 5 resolution during his tenure at the just concluded 9th assembly.

He promised that the Constituents will continue to enjoy the dividend of democracy as much as the rulling Apc be in power.

He also thanked the Constituents for their support so far, promising to make a positive impact in the development of the area, urging to vote enmasse for the APC at the polls.
