The Government of Anambra State warmly welcomes Ndi Anambra (the People of the State) from across Nigeria and the diaspora as they return home to celebrate the festive season with their families and communities.

It stated that the people’s presence this season strengthens the bond of unity and reaffirms the shared commitment to building a prosperous and liveable homeland.

The State’s Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, affirmed that this is a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the rapid transformation taking place across our dear State under the intentional and transformational leadership of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR.

He stated that in less than three years, Governor Soludo has undertaken bold reforms and infrastructural development, yielding unprecedented results. “We invite you to visit and experience some of the landmark achievements such as, the Anambra Beltway – a network of five ongoing dual carriageways reshaping connectivity across the state; Ekwulobia Flyover – a major iconic infrastructure and urban regeneration project changing the face of the city and improving mobility; and the transformed Okpoko from a neglected slum to a model urban renewal success story; the inhabitants now pride Okpoko as New Haven,” he said.

Other transformation includes the Solution Fun City (SFC) and Anambra Country Club, Awka – which redefines leisure, hospitality, and tourism in the region, with the SFC as the most unique in the world with the four components that are co- located namely: a Water Park, Amusement Park, Family Fun Centre and an Intl Country Club; and the New Ultra-Modern Government House – a state-of-the-art complex reflecting efficiency and innovation in governance for one stop executive actions.

The governor also built five brand-new general hospitals and dozens of roads and community projects across all 21 Local Government Areas.

Mefor added that the state government encourages people to also support their local communities in helping to upgrade their Agunechemba (community vigilantes) to continue to bolster and sustain security at the grassroots.

“Above all, continue to support Governor Soludo and the Solution Government to ensure the momentum of progress is sustained. Anambra is rising. Welcome home to a livable, smart, and prosperous homeland,” the Commissioner affirmed.
