Bindow Forms Coalition With Fintiri To Oppose The APC.

Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibirilla Bindow, a former Governor of Adamawa State and a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has finally teamed up with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and called for his re-election, on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Banquet Hall in Government House, Yola.

He communicated this through 250 leaders of the Bindow Support Organization who said they were collapsing their structure in order to support Governor Fintiri’s re-election.

The leader of the delegation, Mallam Abdullahi Bakari, stated that their visit is based on the directive of their principal Senator Bindow, who asked them to convey his appreciation to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for ensuring he completed all the projects he inherited from him across the State.

“Our principal asked us to thank you for continuing with his projects, which have developed the state. We want to assure you of our support as leaders of the Bindow Support Groups,” he said.

The Group’s Deputy Director General, Dr. Michael Zira, added that they decided to support Governor Fintiri after evaluating all candidates on the competency scale, which according to Zira, they had done their analysis of, considering his relationship with their principal, visiting the location where the Fintiri-led administration had carried out development projects and other factors, and find him worthy and the best candidate for the job.

The PDP will treat members of Bindow Support Groups equally and fairly, according to Barr. A.T. Shehu, the party’s State Chairman, who was represented by his deputy, Mr. Stephen Doma.

The Secretary General of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council, Alhaji Aliyu Idi Hong, saluted the former Governor for collapsing his structures to support the re-election of Governor Fintiri.

In response, Governor Umaru Fintiri expressed his delight for the support shown in solidarity by Senator Bindow Jibrilla, and promised to work with the team for the advancement of Adamawa State.

The Governor stated that “I’m indebted to this loyalty. We are coming together to put more energy into the Adamawa project. Bindow has started, and we have completed. The development we have seen today is unprecedented.”

Fintiri emphasized that Adamawa State has never had it better than it does now, under his administration, as the government has built significant amount of infrastructure, among others.

“We have done wonderfully well for this state. We have built classrooms and provided them with instructional materials across the state. “We’re going to renovate 68 schools,” he said.

“We can’t have Governor who runs by proxy. You have to be a man or woman who knows the direction of the people of Adamawa State. I know the capacity of those who are coming,” said Fintiri.

“Nigeria needs a president that is well prepared. Let’s support Atiku Abubakar to salvage this country. “By God’s grace, I can easily conclude that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will be our next president in Nigeria,” he said.

“Elections are not won outside the state. You must collaborate with people from within. I’m assuring you that, because I’m a leader, nobody can rig me in this election. Let them come, and let’s play the game according to the rule.

He therefore called on Senator Bindow to formally come back to the PDP, as it is the only people’s party to reckon with.
