About three thousand youths drawn across different frontiers in gathered together to participate at the weekend for the inaugural Youth Convention at the SCOAN’S headquarters Ikotun-Egbe Lagos under the auspices of TBJoshua Foundation.
With the theme: “Legacy of purpose – investing in a life that outlives us”, the convention also drew various experts from different professions to educate and inspire the youths for laudable lifestyles and greater heights.
Declaring the convention open, SCOAN leader, Pastor Evelyn Joshua stated that youths are the future leaders and it’s too dangerous not to properly guide the youths in the right paths of life that would engender impactful and purposeful life in the society.
In an age when the youths are facing critical challenges including the miasma of distorted souls where the ethical, social and cultural foundations are being gradually destroyed, Pastor Evelyn Joshua admonished the youths to open their hearts for the transformative and impactful benefits of the convention in the reshaping of their lives for impactful and enviable life in the society.
Legacy of purpose, according to her was an offshoot of the legacies of SCOAN’S founder, Prophet TBJOSHUA to “ensure that the leaders of tomorrow are properly grounded in morals, social, educational, careers and skills acquisition, to guide, encourage and be empowered to be better focused in life”.
She also implored them to be closer to God and let His word be the standard of their lives.
The Director of TBJOSHUA Foundation, Sarah Joshua said the Foundation was established not only to preserve the life and time of the great man of God on earth but also to invigorate and rejuvenate his legacies for a better humanity.
She also stated that 30 youth participants at the convention would be given scholarships as well as in small and medium businesses to be empowered. Another speaker, Evangelist Ope Adeyeye, spoke glowingly on theme “Legacy of Purpose” and how it perfectly captured TBJOSHUA’s exemplary life, noting: “life on earth is meaningless without a purpose because it’s only a purposeful life that can invent in others that could outlive them.
The Convention which featured music, dance, drama and lots of other captivating activities also featured an ex-cultist who shared the evils of wrong friendships, companionship, and associates that brought to the fore the illusions and delusions of over ambition, fame, power and living above our means and how God’s mercy saved him for other youths to learn in earnest.
One of the most interesting moments of the convention was the panel for discussions. It provided opportunities for questions and answers where the challenges of youths today were critically dissected and demystified.
The forum provided a clear roadmap and guidance for the participants not to go astray in their journeys of life.
Moderated by Woye Olagbaju, a versatile Mining Engineer, it featured important successful professional personalities such as Vimbai, an international media guru, Dr Oluwaseun, Human Resources giant, Moji Oguntoyinbo, a banker of repute, Professor Ade Ayodeji, an educationist, Barrister Deji Olabiwonnu Ikeja NBA branch Secretary and Mrs Nneka on Tourism.
The convention was electrifying with tingling and tantalizing memories of the participant.
To Nike Adeyemi, “it’s wonderful to be here. I enjoyed every bit of it. This kind of program should continue. I hope they would soon organise another one”.
“Every youth in Nigeria need to go for this convention. It’s educative and very inspiring” said Kolawole Shojonwo.
For Ben Olamide, “this is an experience that cannot be forgotten. Very nourishing and enriching. Thank God for TBJoshua and SCOAN. We need more of it in Nigeria”. In closing, the Convention Principal Organizer, Promise Joshua, expressed gratitude to SCOAN youths in Akure, Ghana and supporters across the world for the event. She expressed optimism of its impacts on the participants assuring them of greater things to come with the future youth convention by the SCOAN which she emphasised “has come to stay”.
SCOAN by this Convention has made a strong statement: that Nigerian youths must not be left in the vagaries and reckless life with the unhealthy social winds blowing across mankind in the world today like sheep without the shepherd. A stitch in time saves nine.
In a gallant and joyful show of gratitude for the crusade held in Argentina by the Synagogue Church Of All Nations SCOAN along with its landmark charity programme for the “poorest of the poor” in the country, Pastor Evelyn Joshua has been showered with multiple honours and awards by the government authorities in Argentina.
The Crusade was officially recognized as an event of public interest by the various government bodies.
Pastor Joshua received the “Key of the city of Resistencia in CHACO Province” by the Mayor of the city, Abelardo Nokckich,. That “key” makes her the first among equals, a distinguished personality and very important “citizen” of the Argentine city.
The other Awards are: from the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of CHACO, Mrs Carmen Delgado Britto in recognition of the Crusade as “a special event and a great thing for the Province by law” and that by the Governor of the province Mr. Leandro Zdero.
Accepting the Awards, Evelyn Joshua who was visibly surprised by the Awards, expressed her deep gratitude to the nation and the Awarders.
“It’s God’s comnand that we should be here to demonstrate His love physically and spiritually. I dedicate these Awards to the christians in Argentina who are striving and yearning to be like our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
That you may continue to grow in faith, spirit and words of God. I thank the Argentine government and all the various authorities that considered me fit for the awards” She prayed for a glorious turn around and God’s blessings for the land.
Major dignatories at the event include: the Provincial Deputy, Mr Paola Beneitez, The Minister of Justice, Labour and Human Rights Mr. Jorge Gomez, Director of Religious Affairs for the Province, Mr Pedro Garcia and Director of Religious Affairs for the municipality of Resistencia, Mr. Javier Pinero.
The two-day Crusade was a high water shed in the christians’ experience in Argentina.
Apart from rejuvenating and invigorating the early Apostolic age revival in a country where Christianity was gradually becoming a mere social gathering, Evelyn Joshua Crusade made the physiognomy of Christianity real with the avalanche of miracles, healings, deliverances, blessings and salvation of several human souls happening simultaneously and practically during the Crusade.

WHEN EVELYN JOSHUA ELEVATES “THE POOREST OF THE POOR” IN ARGENTINA
BALASTRO II, FONTANA in Resistencia CHACO Province of Argentina is a lesson in the tragedy of existence. The high level of poverty is terrifying! Life here is a simulacrum of Thomas Hobbes horrific classification: “Brutish, nasty and short”. This place in Latin America is described as the “poorest of the poor” in Argentina.
Neglected and forsaken in grovelling poverty, sickness and diseases with over one million children living in uncertainty of one malnourished meal daily without hope, happiness and future, it was an unimaginable, dark and miserable existence.
No food, no water, no roads, no electricity, and all the basic needs of life were in complete abeyance with the exception of a field for football! The physiognomy of destitution bedeviling the community is apparent and embarrassingly suffocating. It takes grace to survive daily.
These are the people Pastor Evelyn Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners of Synagogue Church Of All Nations SCOAN have gone to put smiles on their faces.
If hard times will always reveal true friends Pastor Evelyn Joshua has demonstrated that the greatest gift you can give someone is your time, your attention, your love, your concern, hope and unshakable faith by providing them with basic needs of life to make them to live as true human beings!.
Over 500 families living in penury and inhuman conditions benefited from the trailer load of food items, clothing, domestic and educational items worth over 20 millions of Argentina Pesos including cash gifts of $1.5 Pesos for these ” wretched of the earth”. The whole community was agog and electrified.
The enthusiasm and joy in the people was palpable and beyond description. It was a big miracle, like the mana from heaven for them to see the enormity of life transformative goods brought to them free not by their white counterparts but by a black team of Christians from Nigeria in the African continent!
Fontana is really a backward society where witchcraft, worshiping the dead, and all sorts of occultic practices and idolatry are still very rampant. The society is also battling with the menace of hard drugs among the youth especially and other social afflictions.
With joy, dancing, singing and hilarious happiness, the open football field for the reception was painted red with the best of their traditional honours and courtesies in uncontrollable simultaneous appreciation.
“We have brought for you the gospel of love from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You must completely surrender your life to Jesus Christ for your joy to be full and have a lasting happiness” Pastor Joshua declared as the throng of enthusiastic villagers envelope her in joyful excitement beholding her in a way reminiscent to Paul and Barnabas at Lystra in their evangelism as extra ordinary beings.
“We are one with you. The seed of love planted in us with you by Jesus Christ would remain alive. Your challenges are our challenges and your joy is our joy. To you mothers, my sisters, life is full of challenges. Accept Jesus and bring your children up in the way of God so that you can have joym Please ensure you build in them the fear of God and let them be given sound education and upbringing.
This place has become our second home. Let the words of God continue to grow in you and walk in the light of God so that we can continue to rejoice together in Christ Jesus” she further admonished and inspired the people in frenetic jubiliations.
Aduana Solidod Gornama, 37 years old homeless mother of five was specially elated to see the gifts: “This is a miracle. May God continue to bless the woman of God. This will go a long way in our lives to save us from untimely death and hopelessness”.
Viviome Piluen Colrol is a jobless housewife with her children and husband living in a sandwiched like ghetto apartment. “Today is the happiest day in my life. This help is coming when all hope is gone. May God continue to be with the woman of God and SCOAN”
To Jorge Aditouio Movoz, a community leader also living from hand to mouth has this to say: “words are inadequate to express our joy in this community to Pastor Evelyn Joshua for these marvelous gifts. We are all overwhelmed to see you from Nigeria, coming here to bless us in this way. We thank God for your love and kindness to us in our abject poverty and miserable existence. May God continue to bless you and your church. This is marvelous to us”.
Clearly the mills of God grind slowly but they grind exceedingly fine. This is the legacy and foundation laid down by the God’s General, Prophet TBJOSHUA.
“By the grace of God we have put our hands on the plow and we can’t look back. We are committed to changing lives, changing nations and changing the world for the salvation of souls and a better humanity as the Lord directs us to move” said Evelyn Joshua.
Obviously this is a move of God. A white Pastor in the crowd overwhelmed by the stupendous generosity said quietly: “God is awesome! We used to pray for the black people, it’s the black that are now praying for us. Glory be to His Holy name”.
Without doubt there will be a better world and humanity if love is allowed to practically lead in human affairs as embedded in SCOAN. Greater things are coming!
