LAGOS ASSEMBLY COMMISERATES WITH OSHODI/ISOLO OVER DEMISE OF PARTY LEADER, OTHERS

The Lagos State House of Assembly has expressed sadness over the demise of one the party leaders from Oshodi/Isolo, Chief Samuel Aina, a former Local Government Chairman who served the council from 1999 to 2003.
The Chairman House Committee on Information, Security and Strategy, Hon Stephen Ogundipe made the announcement during the Plenary on Tuesday. He noted major achievements of late Aina while serving, which include the construction of the current edifice, housing the Local Government Secretariat.
Hon. Ajomale Oladipo who represents Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II in his eulogy said that the Former Chairman was a leader worthy of emulation and a man of impeccable character.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Obasa noted that Chief Aina was a father figure whose legacy remains unrivalled.
He thereafter directed the Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko to write a condolences letter to the family of the deceased.
In a related development, following the recent death occurrences among newly elected councilors in the State, Speaker Obasa urged political party holders to prioritize their health above any political pursuit.
