“LASU’s Full Accreditation Unprecedented’’ Says Tokunboh

This followed the recently released National Universities Commission (NUC) Comprehensive Accreditation Exercise for the year 2021, where LASU attained full accreditation for 31 courses.
Wahab, who thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for changing the face of education, said the administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S development agenda ‘is the fastest and most effective strategies in achieving transformational governance in the current democratic experience’.
According to Wahab, the government’s investment in education as the third pillar of the THEMES agenda has repositioned the state’s education to become the model for the country.
The Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, said such excellent feat is unprecedented in the varsity’s 40 years history.
According to the NUC’s notification of results signed by its Director of Accreditation, Dr. Maryam Sali, “the accreditation was for the October/November 2021 Comprehensive Accreditation Exercise conducted across all universities. LASU got full accreditation for 31 of the 37 courses presented before the Commission, with an excellent grade of 96.0 per cent.
“Only four courses, accounting for about 10.8 per cent, are still under interim accreditation status.”
The courses which got full accreditation, according to the notification letter, are Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and Local Government and Development Studies, Arabic Studies, Christian Religious Studies (CRS), English Language, Islamic Studies, Yoruba Language and Music…
