It was also on that premise that the company with its ground-breaking approach to PR Measurement and Evaluation clinched other laurels, at this year’s Nigeria Media Nite-out and Brandcom awards held in October and November, respectively.
The Brandcom event was organised by Brand Communicator, a foremost brands and marketing magazine, which recognises brands and top personnel that have excelled in their industry, while the other is an annual award that celebrates winners in various categories of the media.

According to him, P+ measurement and evaluation report is customised to suit brands’ valid metrics and are based on the AMEC Standard in accordance with the Barcelona Principle 3.0, for the provisioning of media monitoring, measurement, evaluation, and performance audit services for clients in the Banking, Telecom, Insurance, Airlines, Tourism, Government, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Pensions, Health Management Organisations (HMOs), Tobacco, Lifestyle and other sectors.
The National Assembly, as part of the moves to strengthen the regulatory function of the National Identity Management Commission, has embarked on repealing and enacting the NIMC Act No. 23.
The NIMC Bill represents a significant legislative endeavour to enhance the efficacy and inclusivity of the Identity Management System. This updated and comprehensive bill embodies several proposed amendments designed to improve the effectiveness and inclusivity of the Nigeria ID System.
The amendments seek to fortify the foundational framework of the NIMC and its operations by; Expanding the Scope of Registrable Persons. The benefit to the country is a more comprehensive and inclusive identification system, which enhances national security, facilitates efficient service delivery, and promotes financial inclusion.
The bill also aims to streamline the sharing of personal data, incorporating robust data protection measures to safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of individuals’ personal data and foster trust among citizens in the handling of their information. It also enhances NIMC’s administrative enforcement Power to ensure timely and accurate compliance with ID registration requirements.
The NIMC repeal and enactment bill, when passed into law, will lead to a more streamlined registration process, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and enhancing the reliability of the Nigeria ID System.
NiMet, FUPRE Hold Downscaling Workshop On Seasonal Climate Prediction

As part of the ongoing collaboration between the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), and the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE), Effurun, Delta State, both institutions on Thursday, 25th July, 2024 held a one-day workshop in the university on the downscaling of the 2024 Seasonal Climate Prediction (SCP) for Delta State.
In a keynote address, the DG/CEO of NiMet, Prof. Anosike, who was represented by the Director, Applied Meteorological Services, Mrs Glory Onyegbule, thanked the The Vice Chancellor of FUPRE, Prof Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, for accepting to host the workshop which was aimed at building resilience among smallholder farmers to increase productivity by Identifying adaptation options, best practices, and adaptation gaps for smallholder farmers.
Continuing, Prof. Anosike said; “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has clearly outlined the government’s eight-point agenda aimed at moving the Nigerian economy forward through Food Security, Ending Poverty, and Economic Growth and Job Creation. The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) is positioned to climate – proofing the economy by providing timely weather and climate information”.
Concluding, he said that the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) through its collaboration with key stakeholders such as the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, universities, development partners, NGOs, and CBOs has been providing weather and Climate information such as the Seasonal Climate Prediction (SCP), Crop Weather calendar, Dekadal Agromet bulletin, and other early warning products for smallholder farmers across the country.
The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa), the philanthropic initiative of the Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu (CFR, CON), has flagged off the construction of a N280 million Abdul Samad Rabiu Integrated Publishing House for Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State.

This project will enhance the capacity of the University from basic press status to a modern, integrated publishing house to encompass publishing, print production, and other related diversified services.
The one-storey building facility will serve as a laboratory and studio for training students of communications, media studies, and allied disciplines as well as other disciplines.
At the groundbreaking event, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ademola S. Tayo, expressed satisfaction at the nomination by ASR Africa, under its Tertiary Education Grant Scheme.
He added that the choice of the project was a response to the vision to take the Mass Communications Department of the University to a whole new level.
According to him, the university’s vision is to produce young men and women capable of critical thinking, and problem-solvers capable of proffering innovative solutions to problems of everyday life, be it social, political, and cultural.
In his response, Dr. Ubon Udoh, the Managing Director of ASR Africa, expressed his delight at the University’s choice of establishing an Integrated Publishing House.
He added that when information is appropriately applied, human society is empowered to liberate itself from limitations and attain its full potential.
Dr Udoh reiterated the commitment of the Chairman of ASR Africa, Abdul Samad Rabiu to supporting quality education within the tertiary education system in Nigeria and urged the institution to focus on the sustainability of this noble project.
He also reiterated the importance of cooperation and collaboration between the university and the contractor for the timely delivery of the publishing house. About ASR Africa
