Synagogue Church Remembers TB Joshua, Launches Foundation

The Synagogue Church of All Nations on Sunday celebrated the first remembrance of its late founder, Prophet Temitope Joshua, at the church’s auditorium in Ikotun, Lagos State, August24news.com senior religions correspondent AJAGBE ADEYEMI TESLIM was there.

No doubt Prophet Joshua died on June 5, 2021.


Several personalities, including religious leaders from Paraguay, Columbia, Pakistan, and several African countries, attended the event in honour of the life and legacy of the prophet.

The wife of the prophet and now the head of the church, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, said the church had made progress since the demise of her husband.

She said, “We are all witnesses to what has been happening since the church reopened six months after Prophet TB Joshua passed on to glory.

“The vision has been carried on. Despite what the ministry has been through, we are inspired by the strong arms of God.

“Our services have kept growing in spiritual depth and divine impartation. We are determined to broaden the scope and relevance of Prophet TB Joshua’s legacy.”

Among those who gave goodwill messages at the event included Lagos state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu ably represented by his Senior adviser on religious matters Mr; the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu SAN; the Deputy Speaker of the Cross Rivers State, Joseph Bassey; Bishop Asil Jamali from Pakistan, and Pastor Carlos Alvaro from Paraguay.

Akeredolu, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, said, “We celebrate the life and legacy of a great man that passed through this place. Prophet TB Joshua lived and died, but he lives on.”

During his exhortation, Pastor Bernard Mulder from South Africa urged Christians to look beyond the tragedies of life and focus on what God called them to do.

“We have a race to run. We have to finish strong. Sometimes in this journey, you have to look beyond the cross to the joy. Focus on what Jesus has planned for you. What does it mean to finish strong? The day you cross over, and your heart is offence-free,” he said.

The event concluded with the unveiling of the TB Joshua Foundation.

The foundation includes the TB Joshua Museum, TB Joshua Scholarship Scheme, and TB Joshua Holy Land.

The museum documents the life and activities of the cleric, while the Holy Land is a mountain expected to have residential areas to boost mobility and economy.

According to the church, the scholarship scheme will help students in their academic pursuits.

“The foundation will sustain and propagate the life and legacy of the late cleric,” the church added.

A Night Where JESUS WINS As dusk settles on the bustling city of Lagos on Friday, the 6th of December, something extraordinary begins to unfold.

In a gallant and joyful show of gratitude for the crusade held in Argentina by the Synagogue Church Of All Nations SCOAN along with its landmark charity programme for the “poorest of the poor” in the country, Pastor Evelyn Joshua has been showered with multiple honours and awards by the government authorities in Argentina.

The Crusade was officially recognized as an event of public interest by the various government bodies.


Pastor Joshua received the “Key of the city of Resistencia in CHACO Province” by the Mayor of the city, Abelardo Nokckich,. That “key” makes her the first among equals, a distinguished personality and very important “citizen” of the Argentine city.

The other Awards are: from the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of CHACO, Mrs Carmen Delgado Britto in recognition of the Crusade as “a special event and a great thing for the Province by law” and that by the Governor of the province Mr. Leandro Zdero.


Accepting the Awards, Evelyn Joshua who was visibly surprised by the Awards, expressed her deep gratitude to the nation and the Awarders.


“It’s God’s comnand that we should be here to demonstrate His love physically and spiritually. I dedicate these Awards to the christians in Argentina who are striving and yearning to be like our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

That you may continue to grow in faith, spirit and words of God. I thank the Argentine government and all the various authorities that considered me fit for the awards” She prayed for a glorious turn around and God’s blessings for the land.


Major dignatories at the event include: the Provincial Deputy, Mr Paola Beneitez, The Minister of Justice, Labour and Human Rights Mr. Jorge Gomez, Director of Religious Affairs for the Province, Mr Pedro Garcia and Director of Religious Affairs for the municipality of Resistencia, Mr. Javier Pinero.


The two-day Crusade was a high water shed in the christians’ experience in Argentina.

Apart from rejuvenating and invigorating the early Apostolic age revival in a country where Christianity was gradually becoming a mere social gathering, Evelyn Joshua Crusade made the physiognomy of Christianity real with the avalanche of miracles, healings, deliverances, blessings and salvation of several human souls happening simultaneously and practically during the Crusade.
